The Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters has published a new publication: Olof Hermelin. Hecatompol is Svionum. Ruotsalaisten sata kaupunkia: Suomen, Karjalan ja Inkerinmaan kaupungit sekä muita runoja Itämeren piiristä
Olof Hermelin (1658-1709), who disappeared in the Battle of Poltava, became known for his powerful anti-Russian propaganda. Prior to working for the state administration, he wrote the poetry series Hecatompolis Svionum, which colorfully describes Swedish cities and their history.
